On the podcast last week Matt McGill suggested that I re-design the logo for one of our listeners, Eric Smith, youth pastor of Ransom Student Ministry. I've had some back and forth with Eric since and here's the progress we've made thus far. Any favorites?

I like the first one best
I like the first and fourth ones best. If I had to choose one, though, it would be the first one.
So far everyone has liked the first one best, including Eric. Good to know. We're fine tuning...I'll post the final once it's complete. Thanks for your feedback!

This is probably too late but I would keep the typeface from the first design and either just modify the "r" or use the distorted box/lines from the "r" on the 4th logo.
This keeps it simple and clean but adds a little visual flair. Plus then you have the added bonus of using just the "r" if you wanted.
Classic. That would have been a bummer. Good thing he didn't want that one. :) The bottom one is actually just a font called Ransom Threat. So I can see why there would be some overlap there.
